The Dogecoin Name Service

DNS is a Dogecoin name service for .doge, .dogecoin and .doginals names. No account, no seed phrase sharing: search, register and trade names from your wallet.

A Dogecoin name service gives wallets readable names. DNS, short for Doge Name Service and found at dogenames.market, is one: you search a name, register it from your own Dogecoin wallet, and it is inscribed on the Dogecoin blockchain as a Doginal that you hold. You can then show it on a profile, list it for sale, or send it on.

What DNS does

Principles

Self-custody: DNS never asks for a seed phrase and never holds your names. On-chain: ownership is the inscription, so it can be verified without trusting us. Open rules: first valid inscription wins, names are normalised to lowercase, and the format rules are published on doge domains.

Name services on Dogecoin

Several teams build Dogecoin naming tools, and the wider ecosystem includes registrars, indexers and wallets that show names. There was also a 2022 "Doge Name Service" on Dogechain, a separate EVM chain; that project is not Dogecoin L1 and not related to DNS here. If you want a name that lives on Dogecoin itself, look for one inscribed as a Doginal, which is what DNS does.

Pricing

Launch pricing is 0 DOGE per name plus the Dogecoin network fee, shown before you sign. No yearly renewal in the current release.
