These terms cover your use of DNS · Doge Name Service at dogenames.market (the "site"), run by its operator ("we", "us"). They are written in plain English. They are not legal advice. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. What the site is

The site is a non-custodial interface for inscribing Doginals names (such as example.doge, example.dogecoin or example.doginals) on the Dogecoin blockchain and for trading them peer to peer. We never hold your private keys or seed phrase, and we cannot move, recover or freeze anything in your wallet. You sign every transaction yourself in your own wallet.

Inscriptions are permanent. Once a transaction is broadcast, the site cannot reverse, edit or delete it, and neither can anyone else.

2. Names, trademarks and no endorsement

Names are provided as is. Anyone can inscribe any name that is still free, and the site does not review or approve names before they are inscribed, listed or shown. A name existing on the site does not mean it is official, endorsed, sponsored by or affiliated with any person, brand, company, character or creator.

Brand, character, product and creator names, and other trademarks, belong to their respective owners. Their appearance on the site, in search results, listings or anywhere else, is not a claim of ownership by us and implies no affiliation or endorsement.

3. Your responsibility

You are solely responsible for the names you mint, buy, sell, hold or use, and for how you use them. That includes making sure a name and your use of it does not infringe anyone's trademark, copyright, publicity, privacy or other rights, does not impersonate anyone and does not mislead people. You are also responsible for following the laws that apply to you.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the site operator from any claims, losses, damages, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) that arise from the names you mint, buy, sell or use, from your use of the site, or from your breach of these terms.

4. The marketplace

The marketplace is peer to peer. Buyers and sellers trade directly, wallet to wallet, using transactions they sign themselves. We are not a party to any sale and do not hold funds or names in escrow.

The operator, including wallets the operator controls, may mint, hold, list, buy and sell names on the site just like any other user, including names that refer to brands, characters or creators.

A listing is only an offer to transfer an on-chain inscription. Buying or holding a name gives you that inscription and nothing more. It grants no trademark rights, no license and no right to use anyone's brand, character, likeness or other intellectual property.

5. Reporting a trademark or rights issue

If you own a trademark or other right and believe a name on the site infringes it, you can report it with the form below. Please include the name, who you are, the right involved and a short explanation, plus an email address so we can reply.

We review reports and may, at our discretion, hide a name from the site's search, listings and display, or remove its listing from the marketplace. Because inscriptions are permanent, we cannot alter or delete the inscription on the Dogecoin blockchain, and we cannot take a name out of anyone's wallet. Other websites, wallets and indexers may keep showing it.

6. No warranties

The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement and accuracy. Name availability, prices, fees and ownership information come from the blockchain and third-party indexers and may be delayed, incomplete or wrong. The site may be unavailable, changed or discontinued at any time.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, the site operator is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of funds, names, profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the site, the blockchain, wallets or other users. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount of fees you paid to the site in the 12 months before the claim, or zero if you paid none.

8. Crypto risks

Using Dogecoin and inscriptions carries real risk. Prices can change sharply and names may be worth nothing. Network fees vary and are not refundable. Transactions can fail, be delayed or confirm in an unexpected order. If you lose your keys or seed phrase, or send to the wrong address, your coins and names are gone and we cannot help recover them. Wallet software and indexers are run by third parties we do not control.

9. No investment advice

Nothing on the site is investment, financial, legal or tax advice. Names are not investments and we make no promise about their value, price or future demand. Do your own research.

10. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms at any time by updating this page and the "last updated" date. Your continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws that apply to the site operator, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
